5/52

We're 5 weeks into the year. Here's my post for the week. Had jury duty this week, so during lunch I walked around Marshall Park next to the courthouse to see what I could photograph. This old rusted chain was one of a few things I discovered.

Reedy Creek Park - A park I often visit when I want to get out and take pictures nearby. I took a trail I haven't been on for quite some time and discovered this tree that had fallen between three other trees. Kind of odd that it landed that way, so I had to take several pictures.

I really need to clean the bird bath in my yard - I'm sure the birds would appreciate it. With the cooler temps this week the water freezes, entrapping the leaves that have fallen into it.

Our State January Issue

North Carolina's Our State Magazine used a couple of my pictures this month on their feature of the North Carolina ski resorts. The images are of a good friend, Kristina, and my nephew, Jullian.

52 In 2012

I really like to follow other photographers when they take the 365 challenge of taking and posting one photograph a day for an entire year - 365 days. It always inspires me to try it myself, but it is a challenge, for sure. I decided to try the modified version of this project, the 52 week project - one image a week for a year, 52 weeks. So, here it goes....

January 1st in downtown Charlotte at night. It was pretty quiet this evening.
