The Parkway

I have a weakness for photographing roads. When I'm out and see a scene I like that includes a road I often stop to take pictures. I don't know if it's the lines cutting through the landscape or the idea of where the road leads - I just know I like them. This one was taken about a week and a half ago on the Blue Ridge Parkway around mile post 416.

The fall color is coming along pretty nicely here in town - more and more trees with nice color. This was taken at the park I always go to for pictures - Reedy Creek Park. There was a lady fishing while I was there taking pictures, so that added to the scene. I thought it was funny that while I was taking a picture of her fishing a fish popped up to the surface of the water right in front of me causing the water to ripple.

Jullian Price Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was taken at eye level from the trail I was hiking as I was heading back to my car.

Most of the trees are still green, but the color is beginning to come along at Reedy Creek Park.
